Photos of a star-nosed mole and a soft shelled turtle

When you wake up in the morning and look out the window you may see different types of grass, trees, flowers, animals, and birds – all of these things living and growing. Think of sunflowers, strawberries, grasshoppers, owls, cows, corn, evergreen trees, ladybugs – all living and growing. How exciting the world is!

Even in areas that are beyond our view creatures live and grow. I’ve brought a picture of a sea pig that lives at the bottom of the ocean and finds its food in the mud on the ocean floor. It is a strange creature that is similar to a sea cucumber, but looks a bit like a pig.

Here are pictures of a star-nosed mole that tunnels underground and a soft-shelled turtle that weighs one hundred pounds. This is a picture of an insect called a walking stick that is as long as a ruler (12″ or 32cm). It looks like a twig, doesn’t it?

These are examples of unusual and amazing creatures found in our world.

So where does all this life come from? Yes, we believe that God made all things and is the giver of life.

God gives each one of us life. The Bible teaches us that those who accept God’s love are given life even after they have died. The Apostle Paul says, “… so also in Christ all will be made alive” (15:22).

Enjoy your life and all the remarkable things you see around you every day. Life is good!!
