    You have built houses of stone, but you will not dwell in them. You have planted vineyards, but shall not drink their wine. For I know your sins—you who afflict the just, who take a bribe, and who turn aside the needy in the courts.

    Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, who lie on beds of ivory, and are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. Therefore they will now go captive with the first who go captive; and the feasting and lounging will end.

    Then the Lord said, "Behold, I will set a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel. The high places of Isaac will be desolate, the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword."

    Behold, the days come," says the Lord Yahweh, "that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Yahweh.
