  • 2 Thessalonians 1:1-4, 11-12

    Paul gives thanks for the faith and love of the Thessalonian Christians. He prays that they might continue to be faithful so that Jesus may be glorified in them.

    Paul encourages the Thessalonian Christians not to be discouraged concerning Christ's coming again. He says, "Stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us."

  • 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13

    "Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.
