Download a WordPerfect file:

NOTE: Print this page before trying to download the file. It might save your sanity. (To print, click on the printer icon above, or press CTRL-P and click on Print.)

First, decide where you will save SermonWriter materials on your computer. Options include (1) your Desktop -- the screen that you see when your computer starts -- before you start your word processor (2) My Documents (3) A folder wherever you like on your hard drive. We recommend that you create a new folder that you entitle SW or SermonWriter -- and remember where you put that folder so you can save your SermonWriter materials to it.

RIGHT-click on the WordPerfect link under the Sunday you want. A menu will pop-up. Select "Save Target As...."

You will get a dialog box asking for your User Name and Password. See above for your User Name and Password.

You will be presented with the "Save As" dialog box which will allow you to place the file anyplace in your computer that you desire. In that "Save As" dialog box, you will probably see the following THREE SMALL WINDOWS:

(1) THE "SAVE IN" WINDOW: It will suggest a place to save the file, probably "Desktop" or "My Documents." You can use the little black "down" arrow to navigate to the folder of your choice.

Our preference is a folder entitled SW or SermonWriter -- either under My Documents or elsewhere on your hard drive -- but you choose.

If you choose "Desktop," after saving the file, you can go to your Desktop (the screen that you see when you first start your computer -- before you open any programs) and you will find a WordPerfect icon there with the file name of the SermonWriter materials that you have saved. You can double-click that icon, which will start your word processor and bring up the SermonWriter file.

(2) THE "FILE NAME" WINDOW: It should have the file name that we gave to the file. We use a long file name with lots of information, such as:

03-02-16, Epiphany 6B, Mark 1.40-45.

We recommend that you leave the file name as it is, but you can change it to anything that you prefer.

(3) THE "SAVE AS TYPE" WINDOW: It will automatically have WordPerfect selected, and we recommend that you leave this as it is.

Click "Save" and you file will be saved in the format and location that you selected.

The file is now on your computer to be used with your word processor.
